Ashley in Aladdin

Ashley's first play with Spotlight Children's Theater was Aladdin. She did so good and had a ton of fun! She was part of the ensemble, meaning she had lots of small parts. She was the fish vendor..."Hello, young lady. Would you like to buy some fresh fish? We catch them, you buy them."
She was the Statue of Liberty... during "A whole new world" song.
The fish vendor again..."Where is everyone? I thought the solton said to gather because he had an announcement to make."
And she was a dancing girl...
She did such a great job! She's excited for the next production Spotlight is doing...Beauty and the Beast.

Take me out to the ball game...

Cooper was excited to get on the Yankees team this year. He was one of the pitcher and did really good. He even pitched a no hitter. Of course, he always reminds us about that. I was really proud of him and his good sportsmanship. His team didn't win every game, but he was always there to help bring the team up. He loved chatting "Yankee Rally" to help encourage his team.

Paxton is only 4 and still too young to play on a Little League team. He can't wait until next year when he can finally "verse" someone. We were able to sign him up for a Start Smart baseball program through the city. He loved it! Every day he would ask if it was Saturday because that's when he had t-ball.

Gymnastics

McKenzie thought that this year she would try gymnastics. She loves it. We have had fun watching her learn and compete. She is always flipping over the couch or doing her splits. You even have to be careful walking behind her because you never know when she's going to do a handstand. She's kicked just about everyone in the family now.

Dance, Dance, Dance

The girls have done so good in dance this year. This video is Ashley with the Junior Team performing at the Mohey Compition in Cedar City. She is the short one in the far left group. It takes FOREVER to upload the videos so here's just a short clip of one of their dances.

This video is McKenzie with the Mini Team, also at compition. She is the brown haired one on the far left.

Happy Birthday Tayson!

My blue eyed baby. I can't believe he's 3 years old already. Tayson loves...
  • to copy and tease Paxton
  • is so full of energy
  • always has a smile on his face, sometimes it's a mischievous one, but a smile none the less
  • loves his milk
  • is always asking for candy
  • is mommy's boy unless Grandma Madison is around
  • is most famous because of his hair
I love when he says, "I want you mommy." It's usally when he's in trouble or tired, but I love it because I get to sit and hold him. I love you Tayson! Happy Birthday!

Cedar Pocket Camping

We had tons of fun camping at Cedar Pocket. Camping close to home was nice so everyone could come and go if they needed. We really had to "rough it" with the restrooms right across from our camp site and Dad and Lisa's camp kitchen equipped with a sink and oven. Now that's what I call camping. We did have to sleep in tents and our tent didn't come with air mattresses or heaters like others (Landon and Melissa). We enjoyed hiking to the river, carving our walking sticks, shooting guns, and visiting with each other. The only thing missing was the four wheelers (and Aunt Erin, of course). Maybe next time.

Curly Curly not Girly Girly

Ok, I finally had to get Tayson's hair cut because people started commenting on what a cute girl I had. What put me over the edge was to have 2 old men flirting with him saying she (he) was really going to have the boys chasing her.

He has had his hair cut (trimmed) a couple of times but he was still a little nervous. I was nervous too. But we're both ok now becuase he still has his curls and he's still as cute as can be.

All I want for Christmas...

Photobucket
Our little McKenzie Kay with a hole in her mouth. She looked so goofy with both front teeth so loose. She wouldn't let anyone close to her mouth, but I finally talked her into letting me see how loose it was. I got a hold of it and she started throwing a fit, paused, and then realized that the tooth was gone. Then she started laughing. So the next day, we tried it again and got the second one out. But now Cooper won't stop singing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" to her.

NASCAR in Las Vegas

Go Jimmie!!!

Jimmie Johnson won Talladega today! First win of the season for him. Gordon came in 3rd and Junior 4th. Way to go team. Well, with the win, I remembered that I haven't blogged about our awesome NASCAR trip. For the past several years, we've gone to NASCAR in Las Vegas. We went with Grandma Madison, Aunt Erin, Maddy and Melyssa. We camp out for the whole weekend (in a trailer, not a tent). We get pictures of the cars and autographs from the drivers. Last year, Cooper got his favorite driver's picture and autograph. This year I did! Yah Jimmie! We always have tons of fun and we look forward to going every year.

Grandparent's Lunch

Ok, so one of the great things about being the PTA president is that I get to choose some of the activities we do at school. I was so excited to have Grandparent's Lunch this year. My kids were even more excited because living in St. George, they actually have grandparents nearby. So each kid got to bring their own grandparent. Boy, we sure do love our Grandparents!

HaHaHa

This is so funny. Aunt Erin (Ian's sister) has been living with us. I'm sad because she'll be moving out soon, but I have loved having her here. She is the best! You know when your kids do the funniest things and you think, "I wish I could get that on camera." Well, Aunt Erin did it. Ashley was singing in her room for like 30 minutes and Erin thought she'd get it on camera. I don't know, maybe for backmail purposes or something. You've got to watch it. It's so funny.

I'm Back!

I know, I know. It's been FOREVER. I am going to try to do this. So for starters... I love this picture and wanted to share it. This is Tayson, my baby (now 2 years old). You gotta love the hair!
